“Best Global Music Performance”

video preview

THEY KNOW” is a fiery and revolutionary global fusion of Afrobeats, Salsa, Jazz and R&B. This unique blend was birthed from an epic collaboration between 4x GRAMMY Nominated Ghanaian musician and activist Rocky Dawuni alongside multilple GRAMMY winning artists - South African flautist Wouter Kellerman, American Afro R&B singer Matt B and Peruvian/ American music luminary Tony Succar. With their diverse cultural and musical backgrounds, the four artists have forged an irresistible new sound and dance floor classic. The groove driven anthem seamlessly blends Latin Jazz, Reggae, Salsa, Afrobeats, Jazz and R&B elements into a fresh new global sonic experience.

“They Know” lyrically echoes the journey of perseverance, highlighting the reward of tireless dedication to one's craft in the face of everyday challenges. The celebratory chorus, sung in West African Pidgin English, reflects the mantra that hard work and personal effort bears fruit. Through faith and the willingness to overcome, anyone is able to conquer self-doubt and the adversities of life.

“They Know”
serves as a symbol of cross-cultural unification. During an era when the world has been darkened by strife and division, these four artists have come together for a common purpose: cultural unity.

Rocky Dawuni, a four-time GRAMMY® nominee and one of Ghana’s most internationally recognized voices, channels the spirit of his signature Afro Roots sound - fusing Reggae, Highlife and Soul into music that uplifts and unites. Rocky serves as a UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Environment for Africa as well as a Cultural Ambassador for the country of Ghana.

Wouter Kellerman, the three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning flautist and composer whose collaborations have topped global charts, brings his singular virtuosity to the mix, infusing the track with his trademark cross-genre brilliance.

Tony Succar, the Peruvian / American percussionist and producer who has earned multiple Latin GRAMMY®'s, lights the song on fire with his unmistakable Latin energy, fresh off his GRAMMY® Winning album Alma, Corazón y Salsa (Live at Gran Teatro Nacional). And singer, songwrier & producer

Matt B
, fresh off his GRAMMY® win for ALKEBULAN II, which weaves Afro-R&B with orchestral majesty.
